It is known how much it costs to maintain a Bugatti (VIDEO)

A new video from The Hamilton Collection shows how much it would cost to own a Bugatti Chiron for a decade, and it's not cheap, but it's also not as expensive as you might think.

After you have bought it, Bugatti offers four years of free maintenance services for the Chiron, writes Chiron's annual service is 10,700 euros, and includes changing the oil and oil filter, changing the battery on the key, changing the cabin filter and brake fluid. A major service is done after four years, and the owner would have to do it at least once in the first 10 years. It costs about 31,000 euros, and includes a front and rear axle oil change, a transmission oil and filter change, a fresh engine air filter, a drive belt change, spark plugs, a hydraulic oil and filter change, and a new coolant.

Bugatti also recommends changing the tires every five years, which adds an extra €8,000. Six years of maintenance costs, after the first four years, total 86,000 euros. A set of tires brings that figure to around 93,000 euros. However, this does not include the cost of items not covered by warranty or service. A Bugatti replacement key costs 12,703 euros, while brakes and discs are 44,000 euros.

The video also highlights how much it would cost to replace the powertrain, since it's something an owner could do long after the first 10 years of ownership. The Chiron's 8.0-liter W16 heart costs more than €800,000 to replace, which is around €234,000 more than the Veyron's engine. Those are big numbers, but the Chiron is an expensive piece of engineering and art.
