The Mazda CX-90 is coming, the Japanese brand's most ambitious car to date

The Mazda CX-90 will be offered with the long-awaited, all-new, powerful 3.3-liter inline 6-cylinder e-Skyactiv turbo-petrol with 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

The US arm of Mazda has announced an all-new SUV that will be badged as the CX-90, which they say is their most ambitious car ever.

The Mazda CX-90 represents the pinnacle of human-centered design and engineering, the company claims.

At the beginning of October 2021, Mazda announced a rather interesting piece of news, announcing a completely new range of its SUV models.

As many as five completely new models CX-60, CX-80, CX-70, CX-90 and CX-50 were announced at the time, the launches of which are scheduled for 2022 and 2023.

To recall, the CX-50 and CX-60 have already seen the light of day. And while the first one is not intended for the European market, the second one was designed specifically for the Old Continent.

We Europeans, in addition to the CX-60, are also interested in the announced CX-80, while the remaining three models with wider bodies are the CX-70 and CX-90 and the CX-50 intended for the USA and some other non-European markets.

The new European models, Mazda CX-60 and Mazda CX-80, should influence positive business growth in the medium and long term, according to the Japanese manufacturer.

Mazda's most powerful mass-produced petrol engine ever

Mazda North American Operations will introduce the Mazda CX-90 (MY2024) on January 31. This SUV will be offered with the long-awaited all-new, powerful 3.3-liter inline 6-cylinder e-Skyactiv gasoline turbo engine.

The engine will have the highest power and torque of any mass-produced gasoline engine developed by Mazda so far (340 hp and 500 Nm).
