Volvo will not introduce a subscription for heated seats
"We're not going to ask people who bought a $95,000 car to pay another dollar to get extra heat in the seat."
BMW was heavily criticized last year when it introduced a subscription plan for heated seats. Volvo, on the other hand, won't be going that route, as the company's chief operating officer Bjorn Anvall told Bloomberg that there is no planned subscription for heated seats.
He argues that charging for a feature after purchase only makes sense for major upgrades, mentioning that a hands-free self-driving system would be one of them.
