2022 Nissan Juke

Nissan's boldly-styled baby SUV is back

Nissan Juke will arrive in UK showrooms next year, complete with more interior space and bolder styling than ever before, an all new.

What is the 2022 Nissan Juke?

Thanks to its bold styling, the Juke is the smallest SUV that Nissan makes, and stands out from the crowd. It’s an important vehicle in the history of the automobile, Nissan also says, claiming the first generation of Juke, launched in 2010, pioneered the compact crossover class that is now one of the most hotly contested sectors of the new car market. Mind you, other car makers have made similar claims, the three-door Toyota RAV4, for example, was launched a full 16 years before the Juke.

Nissan’s mini-crossover has proved extremely popular and in July last year the one millionth Juke rolled off the production line at Nissan’s Sunderland Plant, whatever. Nissan said a brand new Juke is built at the plant every 105 seconds, in a press release announcing the milestone.

It’s now nine years since it first appeared on our roads, but the model is overdue an all-new version.

Nissan has retained much of its bold design, though its reworked front end is likely to put off fewer buyers, because a big part of the original Juke’s appeal stemmed from its divisive styling,  its bug-eyed headlights in particular.

However, the car maker has made big changes under the skin, the new Juke is claimed to have 20% more boot space than the original model and it comes this time with much more gadgets and technology. The car is much better to drive, of course, Nissan says.

Patriotic British motorists who are interested in a new crossover may want to consider the new Juke, as the car will still be built in Sunderland, at the time of writing for the foreseeable future at least, while Nissan is a Japanese company.

What engines will the 2022 Nissan Juke have?

Nissan Juke buyers will have access to just one engine, a 1-litre, turbocharged three-cylinder petrol that produces 115bhp, from launch. As it’s the same spec fitted to the facelifted Nissan Micra we reviewed back in February 2019, regular readers of Driving.co.uk might very well be familiar with this engine. The new Juke comes out of the box with a six-speed manual transmission, like the equivalent Micra.

A seven-speed automatic is available on all trims bar the entry-level “Visia” spec as a £1,400 optional extra, unlike the similarly-sized supermini. The 1-litre engine in the Micra can return 47.9mpg on the combined cycle, but fuel economy figures will be revealed closer to launch.

The new Nissan Juke will only be available as a front-wheel drive car, it’s also expected.

Will there be a hybrid or electric Nissan Juke ?

It hasn’t said anything about adding more motors to the mix, while Nissan has confirmed the engine it will launch with the Juke. It remains to be seen whether the car maker has any plans to launch a hybrid Juke variant anytime soon, also.

The Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance is no stranger to electrified car tech, Nissan builds the pure-electric Leaf in Sunderland, and Renault is currently working on a hybrid engine for its new Clio supermini, a hybrid Nissan Juke isn’t beyond the realms of possibility, as well.

What tech will the 2019 Nissan Juke feature?

Juke perhaps unsurprisingly is a more advanced piece of kit, with nearly a decade separating the original car from the new version, the second-gen. It will feature an impressive array of safety aids, in particular.

Will come all versions with lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition and an “Active Trace Control” that applies the brakes to individual wheels to help the car hug the inside of corners.

Available other items across the range as standard or optional extras, depending on the trim buyers go for, include: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, reversing cameras, automatic climate control, heated front seats, Bose premium stereo system, Nissan’s suite of semi-autonomous Pro Pilot driver aids.

How spacious is the 2022 Nissan Juke’s interior?

So it’s no surprise the car maker has made big strides to improve this in its replacement, because the original Nissan Juke was criticised for its limited practicality. Being barely any bigger than its predecessor, the new Juke is now much more spacious: at 422 litres, the boot is 20% bigger than it was before, and Nissan says head and leg room have grown by 1.1cm and respectively 5.8cm.

How much will the 2022 Nissan Juke cost?

It’s not a huge surprise the latest Nissan Juke is a bit pricier than its predecessor, with all the new tech on board. The previous Juke in entry level Visia spec started at £15,520, the same trim on the new Nissan will set buyers back £17,395. For the flagship spec, the gadget-laden Tekna+ spec, price begin at £23,895.

An even plusher ‘Premiere’ trim will be available, from £23,995 from lunch. Identical to the Tekna+ trim, this version is differentiated from the other models by its race car like Alcantara fabric interior trimming, 19in alloy wheels, a claimed first for a Nissan Juke, as unique body styling and an exclusive black body and red roof paint scheme. Get your order in quick, as only 140 examples will be coming to the UK, if that’s the spec for you.

When will the 2022 Nissan Juke go on sale?

For the new Juke, Nissan now accepting orders. The end of November 2019, the car maker claims the first customer cars should land in the UK towards.

What are the Nissan Juke’s rivals?

The latest model will have many cars to compete against when it arrives on UK roads, with the compact SUV market having exploded in the 10 years since the first generation Nissan Juke was unveiled.

Main competitors of the new Nissan Juke’s include the Kia XCeed, Volkswagen T-Cross, Citroën C3 Aircross, Hyundai Kona, Kia Soul, Mazda CX-3, Fiat 500X, Peugeot 2008, Ford EcoSport, Renault Captur, Vauxhall Mokka, Jeep Renegade, Honda HR-V, SEAT Arona, and Toyota C-HR.

2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Restyling

The latest 2023 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid Restyling will offer a new pallet of the color and a new front, end design.

Engine options for new 2023 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid

A plug-in engine option for the 2021 model year will gain the new RAV4. For now, the company will only tease the PHEV crossover. At LA Auto Show on November, 2021 will be the unveiling. According to the company's announcement, Toyota won't offer any specifics about the RAV4 PHEV's engine at this time, but it will be the most engine RAV4 yet. The RAV4 Hybrid is currently the most potent variant available with its total system output of 219 horsepower (163 kilowatts) from the combination of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and two electric motors on market.

Also, Toyota could take this setup and install more advanced batteries than the RAV4 Hybrid's existing nickel-metal hydride components is one of possibility. Making the motors more powerful and opting for a lithium-ion battery could be enough to boost the system output and still provide some fully electric motoring as well.

2023 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid interior

The RAV4 plug-in hybrid has some minor tweaks, aesthetically. There are vertically oriented LED strips, at the corners of the front end. Chrome-trimmed inlets has the lower fascia. Different from other RAV4 trim levels, that's the grille gets gloss black mesh. In the new color Supersonic Red, also comes the PHEV variant. The one in the teaser image has a black roof and chrome wheels.

It's too soon to know how exactly much the RAV4 PHEV might cost, since this is still just a teaser. Because of  the additional tech for the more advanced engine, the plug-in would likely retail for more than the standard hybrid.

2023 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid price

Prices for the 2020 RAV4 Hybrid start at $29,220 (including the $1,120 destination charge) and rise to $37,750 for the range-topping limited grade.

2024 Ram Power Wagon 2500 Pickup

In the automotive industry has to be marketing pickup trucks, are the easiest job. All of us are familiar with the ads - An oversized dually slams through a concrete wall, a voice actor in his best movie trailer baritone introduces the "all-new, more capable" Brodozer 4500 as showing the truck towing the U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet, the camera pans back.

Than, this approach to advertising has trapped pickup engineers into a vicious cycle of chasing max tow and payload numbers, sincerely, is of little use to the average buyer, to the point that the added performance and capability. Once your combined truck and trailer weighs more than 26,001 pounds, legally you should be carrying a commercial driver's license, after all.

2024 Ram Power Wagon 2500 engine

Currently the biggest mystery is the powertrain, about the latest generation of Ram HD pickups. We believe that might carry over, the existing 5.7-liter V8, 6.4-liter V8, and 6.7-liter Cummins-sourced inline-six turbodiesel. At least some of the engines might gain the mild hybrid equipment from the 1500 as a method to improve fuel economy, one is possibility. The Power Wagon and the rest of the Ram 2500 and 3500 lineup could debut as soon as the 2023 North American International Auto Show in January, so about them, soon, we will know more.

The brand new for 2023 Ram 1500 has impressed many with its class leading ride and well executed  interior, to the point of attracting the attention of die hard Chevy fans and Ford. How Ram’s HD trucks can pull off the same trick, how there are heavy-duty pickups and there are a high-margin product, it could mean some big returns in the cash office.

As on previous models, the grille looks similar, but the hood shape is new, and the bumper appears to be an all new design that kicks up on the ends below the headlamp housings. Also are similar the rearview mirrors, but the plastic wheel arches feature a slightly new design with a notch at the top. New design are the  taillamps, but for obvious reasons the tailgate doesn’t display the Power Wagon nomenclature. However, traditional Power Wagon kit is the integral front winch.

Estimated Arrival and Price

Still undecided is price, but without revolutionary technology or powertrain updates the Power Wagon will need to stay near the current model's $54,540 base MSRP. Probably the 2024 Ram HD and Power Wagon to break cover at the 2023 Detroit auto show. Currently assembled in Ram’s Saltillo, Mexico, facility, Ram HD assembly is slated to be moved to its Warren, Michigan, plant in or around 2024, where it will be produced alongside the 1500. We will see, whether or not Ram will wait until the move is completed to put the next-gen HD trucks on sale. Tradition dictates that it hit showrooms by the third quarter of 2023, either way.

2024 Kia Optima

Sales in category Sedan at this moment aren’t too hot right now in US. Rising category in sales are crossovers, SUVs, and trucks instead; however, KIA preparing a new model in Sedan category 2024 Kia Optima.

We expect a complete redesign underneath. The new 2024 Kia Optima will borrow a lot of from Kia Forte and Kia Stinger.  The design will emphasize a sleek roofline and wider proportions. The new Optima will have platform-mate, the 2024 Optima will grow in both wheelbase and width.

Inside, the 2024 Kia Optima will feature a ton of technology introduced also on the new Sonata, while also providing a tad more interior space. Some features may get restricted to higher trims and a price premium, but tech such as NFC capability, wireless charging, parking assist, and more should be available along with showing the blind spot monitor view in the instrument panel. A redesigned dash and new materials are also expected.

It’s too early to know what powertrains Kia will offer in the 2024 Optima. However, there should be new or revised four-cylinder engines possibly with or without turbocharging. There are also hybrid and PHEV variants expected, too, though those are expected to launch about a year after the gasoline-powered models hit dealerships.

With sedan sales declining, automakers with a sedan-heavy lineup need to keep their products feeling fresh. While some automakers are abandoning sedans, such as Ford, Kia still has to compete with Honda, Toyota and others. A refreshed Kia Optima could help boost its declining sales. The 2024 Kia Optima should debut early 2023 and go on sale after that.

2024 Honda CR-V

2024 Honda CR-V Concept

The expectations of the best-selling Honda in the U.S. that she will sell more electrified models. Honda has revealed its first ever, U.S.-made 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid as part of a mid-cycle update for its popular CR-V.

The CR-V’s design, Honda has pretty much left alone. Light lenses and darker chrome will grace all 2024 CR-Vs, whether they bear the hybrid drivetrain or an internal combustion engine, as a more graceful integration of the fog lights into the front bumpers, as well. The CR-V Hybrid will also get ‘Hybrid’ badging, as an exclusive blue Honda shield in the grille, as well.

2024 Honda CR-V Interior

An exclusive push-button gear selector gets the CR-V Hybrid, which is a much more elegant application of the layout that Honda has been using in other vehicles like the Pilot and Accord. Than, inside the CR-V Hybrid, the new selector is flanked by drive mode buttons (ECO, Sport and EV) and liberates precious space that's been used for a wireless smartphone charging surface area. Also, the CR-V Hybrid boasts a new digital instrument display that presents the information one will require in a hybrid vehicle, or would like to see. The vehicle's power - charge status and a driver-selectable display for power distribution and regeneration, in there we find. The last exclusive feature inside the CR-V Hybrid is a pair of paddle shifters that act like on and off switches for deceleration vehicle. The driver can increase the amount of regenerative braking from the electric motor when decelerating, by activating the left paddle, a clever feature, the ill-fated Cadillac ELR, we first saw that.

Regardless of trim level, a cleverly redesigned center console bin in included in all other 2024 Honda CR-Vs. Honda says that it “is easier to use and offers more flexible storage options.” We talked about before that, all CR-V Touring models also now come standard with the wireless charging surface. An infotainment system operated through a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration is available, and can also by complemented with a redundant in-house navigation system, as well.

2024 Honda CR-V Engine

Also are available remote engine start, dual-zone climate control, rear USB charging ports, and front passenger heated seats with power adjustments. The same in the Accord Hybrid, under the hood of the new Honda CR-V Hybrid we find Honda’s familiar two-motor hybrid powertrain. With combines two electric motors with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine. They generate a total system output of 212 horsepower, together. The EPA hasn’t published fuel economy estimates yet, Honda is confident enough to predict an increase of 50 percent over the regular CR-V's city rating. The CR-V Hybrid give an estimated rating of 42 miles per gallon in the city, which, if accurate, would make Honda's hybrid crossover a single mpg more fuel efficient around town than the 41-mpg Toyota Rav4 Hybrid. Without affecting cargo space of versatility, the CR-V Hybrid's battery pack and its control systems have been shoehorned under the cargo floor. All CR-V Hybrids have Honda’s two-motor all-wheel-drive system, which allows transfer of power from the electric motor to the rear wheels through the activation of an electronic clutch, its first application in the US.

Other versions of the 2024 Honda CR-V will use the same turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, rated at 190 hp and mated to a CVT with the optional availability of AWD. For a reason, the Honda CR-V is the second-best-selling SUV in the U.S. That reason looks to have been bolstered with the addition of a hybrid option, with this 2024 refresh. We'll let you know how successful Honda's refresh was, after we have the chance to get behind the wheel. Honda says they will be shared closer to the 2024 CR-V's on-sale date, so Prices have not been announced yet. The gas-powered CR-V will have an autumn introduction, and will arrive early next year the hybrid version.

2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD

In Chevrolet exist rumors regarding the next-gen 2024 Silverado HD pickup. In the middle of 2023 year the heavy-duty hauler will go on sale. An eye-catching, potentially even polarizing look, has the 2024 Silverado HD. That the roof is the only part shared with the less tough Silverado 1500.

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD should have massive mesh grille now dominates the front end, and there's no guessing what company makes this machine because Chevrolet appears in the holes in the bar that spans the center of the grille, as well. The chiseled hood features a subtle, chrome-trimmed scoop. A step integrates into the rear bumper for easier access to the bed, at the back.

The basic goal for future Silverado 2500 HD will be the truck that looks like a piece of heavy machinery with modern, customer-focused details and chiseled finishes.

We hope so that we will have a spy photo in short time. The center stack has huge HVAC vents next to it and an infotainment display at the top. That there are an additional three inches of legroom in the second row of crew cab models so that bigger folks are more comfortable in the back.

With a tweaked powertrain range will be available the 2024 Silverado HD. There will be a new gasoline engine with direct injection, but Chevy won't provide any further details about it for now. The existing Duramax turbodiesel V8 will get a new 10-speed automatic gearbox. The upgrades of new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD should provide significant increases in towing and payload capabilities.

2023 Ford Super Duty

A thorough update for 2023 gets Ford heavy-duty truck.  Car will have a 10-speed automatic transmission and chassis upgrades and also a new engine options. Ford is boosting towing and payload capability to keep up with the competition, also. Design ranks pretty far down the list of important characteristics for a heavy-duty truck, but after the criticism Chevrolet received on the styling of Silverado HD so how these trucks looks people care about that. In terms of design, let's examine how the 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty will change.

The new design has to do with functionality, mostly. The different grilles have been updated to improve power train cooling, up front. Also helps keep temperatures at bay, a new bumper. Ford promises better performance from the redesigned headlamps in meanwhile. Than certain models feature a lighting border around the headlamps, as well. From the signature on the previous model as it doesn't surround the entire housing, this element has changed. The new headlamps are slightly more curved, while the old headlamps took on a sharp square shape. Now a C-shaped element separates the grille from the headlamps, on some variants.

The Super Duty is business as usual from the side. Model badge just ahead of the front door, still is there. The side windows dipping at the driver's door next to the side mirrors and keep their familiar shape.

Ford employed a new tailgate design and rear bumper, in the rear. On these two F-Series Limited trucks changes are evident, the newer of which has more sculpted bright-work in the rear. Smaller Super Duty logo just below the Limited badge, has also. Ford redesigned the taillights to take on more of a C shape, you will also notice.

Ford made subtle visual updates to a number of trims, inside the cabin. Than some of the biggest changes come to the Limited trim, which gets an updated color palette, also. The layout of the cabin and controls haven't changed much, overall. The central screen is still flanked by two large air vents and below those are an array of buttons as well. The rear view camera comes with Pro Trailer Backup Assist that helps guide drivers into a parking spot on the new model. Also benefits from the addition of wireless charging and USB-C ports has the new model.
