Refurbished Changan CS75

Changan will soon be in China and officially offer a revamped CS75 crossover.

For now, it is known that the CS75 will be available with a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline of 180HP and 300 Nm, with front-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual or optional 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

New materials are provided for the interior, as well as a 10.25-inch touch screen.

As for the price, it will start at around 16,000 US dollars.

Anyone who has thought about buying these great Alfa Romeo sports models can now easily stop, or start collecting more money. All 500 available copies of the Giulia GTA and GTAm have been sold out. Prices in Italy started at 175,000 euros for the Giulia GTA, and 180,000 euros for another "crazy" Giulia GTAm. From now on, their value will only grow, if any of the owners decides to sell at all. We draw your attention to the fact that these were the last real athletes on a "dirty" drive from an Italian factory, because electrification is now following.

Last March, Alfa Romeo launched the sale of two special editions of its premium compact Giulia sedan - the GTA and GTAm. The two versions were limited production, with more power, special emphasis on performance, more extreme aerodynamics and less weight.
A year and a half later, at a much higher price than the ‘standard’ Giulia Quadrifoglio, the Italian carmaker sold all 500 copies of the GTA and GTAm series, writes the Auto Club.

Alfa Romeo states that many copies "went" to China, Japan and Australia. Recall that GTA and GTAm were not available in North America.

These 500 available copies were offered as a sign of the cult 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA developed by the Autodelta Racing Team in Baloc, in the same number, given that so many were needed to homologate the model as a sports car in Group 2 Turismo class.

In addition, these are models that returned the ‘GTA’ badge to Alfa cars on the company’s 110th birthday. Certainly, GTA and GTAm should be mentioned as the last "pure" sports model of the Italian brand with internal combustion before the upcoming electrification. This should certainly affect their value in the future.

Recall that the GTA and GTAm are equipped with a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 that develops 540 hp (397 kW). They catch a hundred in 3.6 seconds, and thanks to the new suspension configuration developed with the help of Alfa's runners, they manage better on curves than the standard model.

In terms of design, the GTA has 20-inch alloy wheels with a central screw and a redesigned body that includes an active front spoiler, larger intake manifolds, fender extensions, a fixed rear wing (GTAm) and a larger diffuser with Akrapovic titanium exhausts. Without the rear seats, the GTAm is 100 kilograms lighter than the standard Quadrifogli.

Chinese electric hypercar Farnova Othello

News arrived from China about another fully electric hypercar of the newly established manufacturer - the Chinese company Farnova Automotive.

The Othello is presented in a prototype form with an incredible 1835 hp (1350 kW). The company plans to produce 200 copies from 2022, and one will cost 1.86 million yuan, or about 247,000 euros.

According to Jutarnji.hr, Othello uses a chassis taken from the sports Qiant K50, which is the result of an agreement between Farn Automotive and Qiant Motors. Apart from the common chassis, the two cars are completely different in terms of style and performance.

The Chinese prototype is equipped with two electric motors that combine to produce 1835 hp (1350 kW) and an incredible 12,000 Nm. All this allows you to sprint to 100 in 1.8 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 420 km / h. It takes 8.5 seconds to reach 300 km / h. The 75 kWh battery offers a range of 600 kilometers.

In terms of style, we see the characteristic sharp creases on the bodywork, the ‘gullwing’ door and the retractable brake on the roof. The hypercar is 467 cm long, 208 cm wide and 115 cm high, and weighs 1350 kilograms.

As we mentioned, production will start next year in the new factory in Changde.

The best-selling Honda got a successor

Honda is working on the next generation of the CR-V model, which is the third best-selling car in the world and also the best-selling Honda. Last year, this car sold 885,000 units.

The fifth generation of this SUV model was presented in October 2016 at the Detroit Motor Show, and now the successor in a masked edition has been spotted on the streets for the first time.

The camouflage is detailed but again reveals that the new generation will look significantly different from the current model. According to the first photos, it can be noticed that the design is much more modern, the car looks longer than the current CR-V, with longer front and rear overhangs.

The front looks more aggressive, while between the thin LED lights there is a chrome strip that extends above the trapezoidal grille. The first spy photos reveal only the look of the front, but it can be assumed that the car will look a bit more refined from the back, like the new Honda Civic. Based on the first spy photos, the Spanish portal motor.es also published an unofficial render of the possible look of the new generation Honda CR-V

It is not yet known which drive will be used by the new generation of the Japanese SUV model, but several hybrids are expected, and later a fully electric version. The premiere of the new Honda CR-V is expected in late 2022 or early 2023

Ford Evos (for China)

Ford already stopped production of the American Fusion last year, while at the end of March 2022, the production of its European brother Mondeo will stop.

The company announced earlier that it would stop producing the current Mondeo (limousine and caravan) at a factory in Valencia, Spain, next year, due to growing changes in customer preferences. In other words, due to the growing popularity of SUV / crossover models and the decline in interest in classic sedans.

On the other hand, this Ford Evos, a serial version of the eponymous concept, has already been introduced in China as a replacement.

It is a cross-liftback model 4920 mm long, 1920 mm wide, 1600 mm high and with a wheelbase of 2945 mm, while the wheels are 19 and 20 inches.

The equipment also includes a panoramic roof, automatic braking system, lane maintenance, Ford BlueCruise autopilot, 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, as well as a large screen Sync + 2.0 multimedia system.

Under the hood is a 2.0 EcoBoost turbo petrol with 238hp and 376 Nm (acceleration to 100 km / h takes 6.6 seconds), with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

Changan Ford is in charge of production in China, and the start of sales is announced for the fourth quarter of this year.

The question remains whether Evos will be sold in other markets as well. For now, only China has been announced, but a few months ago, some sources mentioned the possibility that this novelty in Europe might be sold as a Mondeo Evos, as well as that it will have a different rear part compared to the Chinese Evos.

When a car costs $ 2.5 million, it is clear that maintenance costs are not cheap. The company offers a dedicated global service program for Chiron and Veyron, but how much does it all cost?

One Bugatti fan from Malaysia, Muhammad Al Qawi Zamani, visited Bugatti’s Singapore showroom to get detailed information on holding the Chiron Pur Sport. The costs have been converted from Singapore to US dollars, and do not include taxes, labor fees, transportation and travel expenses.

Bugatti’s service program includes a team of 10 highly trained technicians who travel the world and service Chiron and Veyron models, and are available for interview 24 hours a day. The first service is done after 14 months or 16,000 kilometers, and begins with the replacement of engine oil, oil filters, coolants and sixteen drain plugs. The price is 24,979 US dollars. You think that's a lot? Stay with us…

According to the Auto Club, the replacement of the front carbon ceramic brake discs and brake pads costs $ 58,952. There is also the replacement of brake fluids, and other parts of the brake system that will double that figure. Every 14-16 months you will still need to replace the ultra light wheels which cost $ 49,958 in the kit.

You should probably change your tires every 16 to 18 months. You have options here, but they are all expensive. For example, a set of Michelin Pilot Sport PAX or Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 XL costs around $ 8,000.
Between 42 and 48 months of ownership, four turbochargers are replaced. Their price is 25,978 US dollars. And once you've arrived for service, change the air duct cooler kit immediately for $ 21,982, and a new $ 43,963 fuel tank should be installed, as well as an engine tuning and calibration package ($ 28,600) to get everyone out. 1500 hp from the eight-liter quad-turbo W16 engine.

The windshield replacement costs $ 59,949, while the wiper blades alone cost $ 3,797. There is also the color Chiron Pur Sport, which costs 55,148 dollars, which is why Bugatti suggests hand washing with special equipment without nozzles.

When everything is put on paper, four years of ownership of Chiron Pur Sport, including three oil changes, two wheel and tire changes, replacement of brake system parts, engine calibration, one replacement of turbocharger and fuel tank, costs approximately 477,498 US dollars. Please note that this price excludes taxes, fees, transportation and travel costs of Bugatti's service team.

Mercedes has already announced that from 2030 it will become a fully electric brand where market conditions allow it, while Audi announced the end of the development of internal combustion engines for 2026. What about BMW? The Bavarian company is not yet ready to give up petrol and diesel because they believe that there is still life in them.

In an interview with Automotive News Europe, BMW development chief Frank Weber said the transition to electric cars will not happen overnight because certain questions need to be asked first: “When will the system be ready to absorb a large amount of electric cars? It is primarily about the necessary charging infrastructure, as well as renewable energy sources. Are people ready? Is the system ready? Is the charger infrastructure ready? ”

There is also the issue of manpower, because BMW, like many other manufacturers, has a large number of people working on the development of traditional drive systems. The workforce is slowly turning to the production of electric cars, but it is a complex process that will take a long time for workers to be properly trained.

Meanwhile, Euro 7 regulations are approaching and according to Frank Weber they are the last big reason for massive investments in the development of petrol and diesel engines. The money invested in research and development to keep these units in line with emissions limits will ensure the short-term future of internal combustion engines, at least until the end of this decade. With 9 more years to go, BMW's head of development thinks it's too early to talk about a strategy to eliminate petrol and diesel from the Bavarian company's offer.

Weber pointed out that BMW does not want to leave the conventional car market too soon and thus force people to buy electric cars, especially if the charging infrastructure does not have sufficient capacity. A bit contradictory from BMW’s head of development, especially when you consider that BMW is working intensively on fuel cell technology, and the number of hydrogen chargers is currently at the level of statistical error.
